Richard Goodwin has been in practice for 35 years as an internationally exhibiting artist and architect. His work ranges from gallery exhibitions to “parasitic” architecture, public artworks, urban infrastructure design and University Research. He directs the Porosity Studio for international studios which use the city as a plastic material.

His prizes include: The National Sculpture Award 1985, The Sculpture by the Sea Water Prize 2003, Helen Lempriere Award 2004, The Blackett Award Australian Institute of Architects 2004, Urban Design Commendation, AIA, Australian Research Council Discovery Grant 2003, ARC Linkage Grant 2009, The Wynne Prize for sculpture 2011.

His artwork is held in major collections including the Art Gallery of NSW, the National Gallery of Victoria and the Nuremburg Museum.
