Events: David Burns in “Co-isolated”

An exhibition / event featuring new work by Richard Goodwin, Michael Snape and David Burns.

A continuation of an exhibition of the same name that occurred in April 2010, this new show will take place at the Wentworth Mine in Lucknow, NSW and is sponsored by the Orange Regional Gallery.

“X_Sound” at Nam June Paik Art Center

Nam June Paik Art Center is to present “x_sound: John Cage, Nam June Paik and After.” The year of 2012 marks the 80th anniversary of Nam June Paik’s birth and the 100th anniversary of John Cage’s birth. The exhibition includes Cage’s and Paik’s works, but also works of today’s sound artists inheriting the two frontiers’ experimentations.

News: Prudence Murphy and Cherine Fahd

Prudence Murphy, "Rhyl #1", 2011

PSM Casual Academics Cherine Fahd and Prudence Murphy have been shortlisted for the William and Winifred Bowness Photography Prize. The exhibition opens 15 September and runs until 16 October 2011 at Monash Gallery of Art.

Prudence also had some artworks published in the latest Ampersand Magazine – Issue 4 ‘From the heart of the forest to the edge of the road’. The new issue will launch on 20 September at the State Library of NSW, 5-8pm.
