Public Lecture #1: David Burns – “5 Years of Photography and Situated Media”

PSM is pleased to announce our first event for the 2015 PSM Image Studies Lecture Series: David Burns – “5 Years of Photography and Situated Media”.

David Burns is the founding Director of Photography and Situated Media at the University of Technology, Sydney. He holds degrees from Columbia University and the University of Tennessee and since 2001 has taught in schools of art, design, and architecture in the United States and Australia. His work includes research into the political consequences of the image.

This lecture will trace the history of our degree on its 5 year anniversary, while establishing new lines of research and focus for the future.
