Robert Beson is a director of AR-MA. Educated in the United States and Australia, Robert holds degrees in literature, classics and architecture.
Robert has worked in Europe, the United States and Australia with a number of internationally recognised practices and institutions. His work has been exhibited at Kaldor Public Art Projects Parlour, the Prague Quadrennial, Gwangju Biennial, and the Venice Biennale.
Robert was awarded the Byera Hadley Traveling scholarship for research on digital fabrication and production of complex structures. Through a competitive process in 2013, Robert Beson and AR-MA won and recently built the 2014 Fugitive Structures Pavilion for SCAF (Sherman Contemporary Art Foundation).
Robert has taught at the Master’s Level at a number of Universities throughout Australia, has acted as art director and curator for academic institutions, and has lectured at UTS, the University of Sydney, the University of Newcastle and Bond University. Robert is a regular contributor to Architecture Australia magazine.
